The story behind Matt Hind's shoot

July 1, 2015

Hailed as a cult British designer, Nigel Cabourn has worked in the industry for over forty years driven by inspirational stories of real people in history and vintage military, outdoor and work wear pieces.

Matt Hind was the perfect photographer for this campaign and was commisioned to shoot the Autumn Winter ads. As is always the case with chance moments on set, during some downtime on the shoot guide Blaise Rouiller jumped on a friend's BSA and Matt captured it and it became the shot for the ad!

By luck Blaise is the great grandson of the first mountaineering guide to lead mountaineers from Europe onto the Glacier that menacingly hangs over the Swiss mountain village of Les Diablerets in the late 19th Century. Perfect for the brand and a great back story. Effortless. Well sort of!
