Manuel Archain's New Project: Thinking About
August 1, 2014
'Thoughts and moods are spread by the complicity of everything that surrounds us. From a wink to snapshot photography. Contained ideas, endless to-do lists, sounds and smells flowing in, even if we do not want them to. The constant and intermittent elements in and out of us that bind us together merely by being in a common space. Moments where a shared gaze or a small touch of the air we share, bring us together on the same thought or mood.
The observer wishes to be objective, like in a snapshot, tries to abstract himself from that time and see how an ecosystem of thoughts are grouped into a state. In the end, his emotions decide what to see. Thinking and applying oneself to be there, watching and understanding the thoughts of others and our own.'
